This route starts from San Michele, the half way station of the Malcesine Monte Baldo Cable Car. From the station, go uphill keeping the cable car by your shoulder. At the first fork in the road, keep left and take the first shortcut through the woods on your right.

Carry on for about 15 minutes until you get to the cement road for Prai and, after a few metres, take the path on your left going uphill. At the next fork in the road, turn right to come back to the Prai cement road. Go on uphill until the wayside shrine of Signor. Here keep right and follow indications to Piombi, Path no. 2. After a short while, at the barrier, the Nature Park of Lastoni Pezzi starts, a very interesting area for flora and fauna over the whole Monte Baldo range. In about 30 minutes you will get to Piombi where you should take a breather and admire the view.

From Piombi there is a brief flat part then keep left following signs for Tratto Spino, Monte Baldo and go uphill first gently and then there is a steeper part that takes you to Monte Baldo at 1700m.a.s.l. At the end of the wood, follow the path and keep left to get to the top station of the Cable Car.
