Il percorso della salute (The fitness path)

It’s a varied path of medium difficulty, and with lovely views that starts and finishes in Malcesine going along the fitness path of San Michele.
The itinerary is 12 kilometers long and you will face 550 meters of height difference both climbing and descending.

The path starts at the beginning of southern Panoramica road. Head north on Gardesana road and at the second roundabout enter Navene Vecchia road uphill on the right. Go along for about 1.5 kilometers and just after the Agriturismo Le Dase enter the Panoramica road on the right. Nearly 5 kilometers of constant uphill, up to Passo Campiano at 380 meters of height, awaits you. From Campiano go on uphill to the left up to the middle station of the cable car Malcesine Monte Baldo. This last stretch is short but quite challenging and always on a tarmac road: you climb 250 meters in less than 2 kilometers.

From the station take the road uphill leaving the cable car behind you. At the first crossroad keep the right and follow the indications for San Maggiore until you reach the church of San Michele. Here take the higher path that goes behind the church and enter the trail on the left.

At the end of the trail in the wood head south and turn to your right on the bend of the concrete downhill. At the crossroad continue down and keep the right. In Campiano go downhill to the right and at the end of the first long descent, turn right for Paier, go on straight to the shrine and enter the steep muletrack on the right that leads to Malcesine along the Navene Vecchia road.

It is a quite easy path on a tarmac road, trail and muletrack without technical difficulties.

The path is of medium difficulty; you start on tarmac road then on loose rocks, mule track and a woodland path.
